New Dates for the MS Center’s Book Club: We are waiting just for you!

The Book Club is a discussion and support group led by Kathy Feinstein, LMHC. The group covers books on topics about self-empowerment and improving coping skills. The book discussions are interesting and helpful. It’s also a great time to meet and get to know others who have MS. The book club meets once per week for about an hour and a half. This series will be six weeks beginning September 9.

Locations and Times:

Fridays at 10 am at Beth Tikva, 1459 Pine Ridge Rd, Naples

The book we will cover is “Man’s Search for Meaning”, by Viktor Frankl.

Man’s Search for Meaning is a 1946 book by Viktor Frankl. Frankl’s message is ultimately one of hope: even in the most absurd, painful, and dispiriting of circumstances, life can be given a meaning, and so too can suffering. Life in the concentration camp taught Frankl that our main drive or motivation in life is neither pleasure, as Freud had believed, nor power, as Adler had believed, but meaning.

Friday 12:30 pm at the MS Center, 3372 Woods Edge Circle, #103, Bonita Springs

The book we will cover is “The Power of Purpose”, by Richard Leider.

The Power of Purpose-We all want to find our purpose—our reason for getting up in the morning. Purpose is fundamental to human life. It is what makes us human. Purpose gives us the will not just to live but to live long and well. The good news is, purpose isn’t a grand concept reserved for a gifted few but something each one of us already possesses, needing only to be uncovered.

The books have arrived. You can sign up and pick up your book any time before Sept 9. Just send an email to Les-Lee@mscenterswfl.org.
