On June 2, 2017, the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, Okeechobee, announced the three new agencies that were approved as Partner Agencies for 2018. The MS Center of Southwest Florida was one of the three chosen from a group of 16 applicants. The extensive application process included a site visit by a 27 member “Allocations Team” from the United Way.

As a United Way partner agency, the MS Center gains access to funding, volunteers, and other resources provided by the United Way. The recognition as a United Way Lee Partner Agency also reassures donors of our accountability and professionalism.

The United Way partners with 80 agencies in the community that are leading the way to address the issues that matter most in our community by improving lives and delivering meaningful results. Last year, United Way supported agencies, programs and initiatives helped to improve the lives of more than 300,000 people in our community.

The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Southwest Florida’s (MS Center) mission is to improve the quality of life for people affected by multiple sclerosis. The MS Center provides a comprehensive wellness program designed to help manage pain, improve mobility, and decrease isolation. Services include therapeutic services such as massage therapy, acupuncture, and mental health counseling.

According to Executive Director, Kay Jasso, “We are so excited that we were approved. The MS Center is honored to become a part of the United Way’s family of agencies providing important resources for the residents of Southwest Florida.” For more information about the MS Center visit www.MScenterswfl.org.
